Non-Regulated Services

Clarity About Our Services

Acacia Dales Services Ltd provides non-regulated support services for adults.

This means our current services do not include activities regulated by the Care Quality Commission (CQC), such as personal care or nursing care.

We focus on practical, social, and emotional support to help adults maintain independence, wellbeing, and confidence in their own homes and communities.

What This Includes

Our non-regulated support services may include:

  • Companionship and social engagement
  • Assistance with shopping, errands, and appointments (non-clinical)
  • Light domestic support (e.g., tidying, laundry)
  • Meal preparation (non-feeding)
  • Support with routines, structure, and daily living
  • Emotional support and wellbeing check-ins
  • Tailored support for adults with mild learning disabilities or autism

What We Do Not Provide

To avoid confusion, it is important to be clear about what is outside the scope of our services:

  • Personal care (washing, dressing, toileting)
  • Nursing or clinical care
  • Medication administration
  • Specialist therapeutic or behavioural interventions
  • Emergency or medical services

These activities are regulated by the CQC and are not part of our service at this time.

How We Work

Even as a non-regulated service, we maintain high standards of safeguarding, quality, and accountability:

  • All support is person-centred and enabling
  • Staff are trained in safeguarding, communication, and professional boundaries
  • Feedback, complaints, and concerns are taken seriously and addressed promptly
  • Policies are aligned with Care Act 2014 principles and sector best practice

This ensures that everyone using our services receives safe, respectful, and reliable support.
